This song has been adapted from the German play Good woman of Schezwan by Bertolt Brecht and later translated and composed by Ajit Pandey for Bengali theatre.
This story is about a King and his eight horses and his favourite one amongst them.
This favourite horse of the King is a daydreamer and the laziest. The remaining seven horses are hardworking and willing to do anything to please the King.
A war breaks out when the enemy attacks and all the seven horses die.
The King’s favourite horse gets wounded in the fight and survives to win the war for his master and Kingdom.
And thus the story comes to a happy ending :)
